Before joining Florent, Joris worked at Allen & Overy, for which he also worked in its New York office, and was head of the employment & benefits practice group of Simmons & Simmons Amsterdam for twelve years. Joris is partner in the Employment practice and Managing Partner of Florent.

Joris advises and litigates on a variety of employment law topics, including dismissals, collective redundancies, investigations, remuneration issues and works council issues.

Joris speaks Dutch and English. He sits on the board of the Amsterdam Employment Lawyers Association (VAAA) and is a member of the Dutch Employment Lawyers Association (VAAN). Joris has post-graduate degree (Grotius) in employment law (cum laude). Joris is recognized as a thought leader by Who’s Who Legal, and is ranked both in Chambers and Legal 500.
