Willem specializes in creditor’s rights in bankruptcy, impending insolvencies suspension of payments and bankruptcy, creditors’ agreements (under the WHOA), actio pauliana issues, security rights, and director’s liability risks (in bankruptcy).
He provides strategic counsel to clients navigating (impending) bankruptcy situations and represents creditors confronted with the insolvency of counterparties. Willem is regularly appointed by the Amsterdam District Court as a trustee in bankruptcies and has gained extensive experience in managing and providing counsel on complex bankruptcy cases in recent years. Having completed his Master’s in Commercial Legal Practice at the University of Amsterdam, with a focus on corporate and insolvency law, he brings a comprehensive background to his practice.
