Jurgen started his career in 2015 and has been part of Florent since it was founded. He is a senior associate in the Restructuring & Insolvency practice. 

Expertise

Jurgen is specialised in insolvency law and matters relating to cross-border asset recovery. He is regularly appointed by the court as bankruptcy trustee. Jurgen also advises and litigates in matters related to insolvency law, security rights, and commercial contracts. In addition, he has experience with the enforcement of judgments (both foreign and domestic) and proceedings regarding the disclosure of documents.

Jurgen speaks Dutch and English. He is a FraudNet Future member on behalf of the Netherlands, the network of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) that represents parties prejudiced as a consequence of (international) commercial fraud. He obtained his post-graduate degree (Grotius) in insolvency law and is a member of INSOLAD, the Dutch association of insolvency law lawyers. Jurgen regularly writes on topics concerning or relating to insolvency law. He is an editorial member of the Journal for Bankruptcy Trustees (‘Tijdschrift voor Curatoren’) and an author for a Dutch periodical on insolvency case law (‘Rechtspraak Insolventierecht’).
